If you know the answer, state it clearly. Example: “10 ton SWL, 18 m span, 6 m lift, indoor, two-shift use.”
If you do not know the answer, describe the application. Do not guess duty class, VFD sizing or rope construction. Let vendors state their design basis and compare their answers.
Never accept silent assumptions. Ask every bidder to fill vendor response and deviation columns. A blank response should be treated as a risk, not acceptance.
For final procurement, ask the selected supplier for certified drawings, design basis, component datasheets, test plan, installation method statement and warranty terms before PO or manufacturing release.
