Can suit simple, low-duty cranes where smooth speed control and diagnostics are not critical.
A crane control system is not just a panel. It decides speed control, operator position, emergency stop behavior, overload protection, braking energy, diagnostics and long-term downtime risk.
For a new crane, ask suppliers to define the complete control philosophy. Compare VFD or contactor control, pendant or radio remote, control voltage, panel make, VFD/DBR sizing, brake interface, limit switches, overload protection, emergency stop circuit, diagnostics, enclosure rating and commissioning tests.
Do not accept a vague line item such as "electrical panel with pendant." The right control scope depends on duty, positioning need, operator visibility, load sensitivity, travel length and maintenance capability.
